Silverstone – Red Bull's Mark Webber cruised to a dominant
victory at Silverstone. Hamilton seized second after a poor start
by Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, while Mercedes' Nico Rosberg was
third ahead of McLaren's Jenson Button. Alonso was punished for
gaining an advantage by cutting a corner while passing Renault's
Robert Kubica. By finishing sixth Kamui Kobayashi scored eight
championship points and this is the best result for the team so far.
The RedBull team mate Sebastian Vettel reached the seventh
position. Webber's win lifts him ahead of the German into third
place in the championship behind McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton
and Jenson Button.
